Informatics Guest Accounts
To simplify the application process, the staff responsible for supervising the persons or organising the event are requested to send an e-mail to the Informatics Computing Centre (IRZ) as early as possible (at least 3 working days in advance) containing the following information in tabular form:
- Purpose of attendance or title of the event
- Period of attendance / event
- Person responsible at the department
- Any special requests (resources)
- List with surname(s), first name(s), valid email address
The necessary project data is determined from this information, any necessary allocation of participants to project resources is carried out and application forms are generated for the individual persons.
For formal reasons, the applications with the current provisions of the user regulations must be personally signed and returned to the IRZ before the user account and initial passwords shown on the forms can be used!
At events, the generated forms are bundled and handed over to the person responsible for the project, who coordinates the forwarding and return of the signed applications to the IRZ.
Notes:
- Early notification is particularly necessary if there are special resource requirements or tests need to be carried out.
- In order to simplify the allocation of resources for events with mixed participants, the persons with a valid Informatics account should be highlighted separately in the above list and their user names should be listed.
- As an alternative to the above procedure, you can continue to use the familiar project and user application forms, which are available from the IRZ.
