Informatics SSH-Server
With the "Secure Shell" access protocol you get a secure terminal access, for example
- for access to your Informatics home directory,
- to run Linux / Unix scripts and programs,
- to use the possibility of tunneling / diversion of graphic outputs using X protocol (with sufficient bandwidth)
As a central, directly accessible SSH server in the IRZ the address
rzssh1.informatik.uni-hamburg.de
is available for this purpose. Sorry, the SSH protocol does not support certificate-enforcers and thus not the DFN-CA of the university, but uses self-generated private / public-keys. You can check the authenticity via the currently valid safety fingerprint of the server:
